Great British Bake Off star Paul Hollywood has denied allegations of racism after a photo emerged of him dressed as a Nazi.
The picture sent raspberry ripples throughout the baking community but Hollywood was quick to step forward and deny any wrong-doing.
‘It was just a fancy dress party. I’m not racist in any way. I’d chuck one up that Nadiya Hussain and my best friend is a black forest gateau,’ he claimed.
Hollywood has caused the picture an error of judgement and a serious mis-goose-step in what’s acceptable behaviour.
‘You should never wear a hat indoors. Above all else, it’s rude,’ he said.
The star might now be suspended from Great British Bake Off with fears growing that he can’t be trusted around ovens.
