Radiation therapy better medicine than laughter, doctor confirms

A doctor’s medical ability has been called into question after prescribing a heavy dose of laughter to a woman suffering from cancer.

Dr Salinger, 38, had put hours of preparation into a rip-roaring topical comedy routine that he delivered to his patient.

She died just moments before he could come back and perform his encore.

‘I try to keep up-to-date with the latest medical practices and I was assured that laughter was the best medicine. In the case of that poor women it would probably have been a mastectomy and chemotherapy though,’ said Dr Salinger.

It’s believed no action will be take against the doctor, who says he has already learned his lesson.

‘At least I didn’t die out there,’
he said.
