The White Stripes accused of ripping off ‘Oh, Jeremy Corbyn’ chant

A number of Labour supporters have noticed a striking similarity between their ‘Oh, Jeremy Corbyn’ chant and The White Stripes’ ‘Seven Nation Army’ and are accusing the band of ripping off the melody.

The two-piece band are known for their thumping drum beats and love of the colour red, a colour also associated with the Labour Party.

‘I can’t believe it’s a coincidence that they wear a lot of red AND then come out with a song that sounds just like our chant for Jeremy Corbyn,’ said one supporter.

Indeed the melody between the two pieces of music do sound similar, but Jeremy Corbyn himself has defended the band saying that music should always be shared between the community.

The White Stripes have refused to comment on the controversy at this time.
