Next-gen energy saving light bulbs will create a dim hue in just TWO HOURS

George Osborne is the dimmest object in the room now.

A research team has announced a big break-through has been made in the field of energy saving light bulbs. This means that the next-generation will be able to light up a dim hue in as little as two hours.

The light bulbs use a newly invented compound called bullesium which allows the bulbs to illuminate a room faster and brighter than any previous energy saver.

‘This a huge development,’ said Dr Hugh D. Fellipment, head of the research & development team. ‘Previously you needed to turn on your lights before you left for work in the hope that you’d be able to just about see through the darkness when you got home. This new light bulb will change all that.’

The bright sparks behind the new bulb will be laughing all the way to the bank when their innovation is released to the public next year. And the upgrade can’t come soon enough for many people.

‘Since the introduction of energy saving light bulbs I’ve not been able to read at night due to the darkness. I’ll finally be able to start those Game of Thrones books. I hope they have a happy ending, I do so love a happy ending,’
said Margaret Wishworth, 51, of Kent.

‘We forwent light bulbs altogether when it became clear that they were about as bright as Kim Kardashian after a lobotomy. We went by candlelight instead. It’ll be nice to go electric again,’ said Rob Zimmerman, 75.

After having their light bulb moment, the development team are switching their sights to improving the microwave.

‘If we can just get the food warm all the way through it’ll be a vast improvement,’ said Dr Fellipment.
