Americans stop eating chicken over fears it causes chickenpox

38% of Americans have stopped eating chicken over fears that eating poultry may lead to developing chickenpox.

Chicken sales have plummeted dramatically across America after a full-time mommy pointed out that it sounds very similar to chickenpox.

‘Chicken sounds an awful lot like chickenpox. Coincidence? I think not. It’s time we all woke up and started taking better care of ourselves,’ she posted to Facebook.

The wisdom was shared across the social media platform and has since caused a stunning downturn in the sales of chicken meat.

It’s not just chicken that’s losing customers either. Coleslaw has also become drastically less popular in America after people noticed it sounded similar to cold sores.

Medical experts claim that there is no link between eating chicken and developing chickenpox, or between coleslaw and cold sores.

They would say that though, wouldn’t they?
