Fart University withdraws published paper positing that whoever smelt it dealt it

The prestigious Fart University has today withdrawn a published paper which posited that whoever smelt it dealt it, after finding the claim to be inaccurate.

The paper, a long-winded tome at 275 pages, has long been considered the ultimate authority on the subject of who farted?

It was originally published in 1954 and was a joint effort by several professors at Fart University.

But, as Dean Tooting told us, “It has come to our attention that there were certain inaccuracies in the paper and that the research that took place may not have been under fair conditions.”

The withdrawal of the paper has sent shockwaves through the scientific community, although some aren’t surprised.

“I’ve said for years that it was a faulty premise. Referring to my own paper published in 1984, I believe that it’s whoever denied it that supplied,” said Dr Longbottom of Air Biscuit College.
