1937: Albert Einstein sticks out his tongue for the first time. It proves to be an inspirational moment for future pop star Miley Cyrus.

1941: The Germans bomb Pearl Harbor.

1956: The birth of Larry Bird. Larry used his natural abilities as a half-man half-bird to hit the most three-point dunks in basketball history.

1960: The first episode of “Coronation Street” is broadcast. The dour soap opera leads to a wave of depression across Britain.

1988: British politician John Captain promoted to John Major.

1997: Jeff Bezos opens the first Amazon warehouse with a stirring speech to his employees. “Ask not what Amazon can do for you, ask your bladder to hold itself for ten hours.”

2010: SpaceX becomes the first company to have the word “Space” or “X” in the name and not be cool.

2021: Prime Minister Boris Johnson arrested for impersonating a police officer.
