Catherine Tate apologises for racist ‘Pat Mountain’ character

Comedian Catherine Tate has issued a formal apology after receiving several complaints about her new character ‘Pat Mountain’, the latest leader of UKIP.

The Pat Mountain character made her debut on Sky News where she was interviewed by Adam Boulton, who had no idea of Pat’s true identity.

Pat used several offensive terms before the interview had to be cut short by the flustered journalist.

‘I had no idea I was interviewing a character, it was otherwise standard fair for a UKIP interview,’
said Boulton.

Catherine Tate has apologised for the interview, admitting that the entire thing went further than she ever intended.

‘I apologise for my language. I was unprepared for the interview as I thought I’d get caught by then,’ she began.

‘This entire thing went further than I thought. I was actually voted in as the UKIP leader. I called myself Pat Mountain. Pat FUCKING Mountain; and they still didn’t twig that I was having them on.’

But when your last leader was called Dick Braine, Pat Mountain seems comparatively above board.
